Yellow Party: Part Trois
The finale...Elizabeth enjoyed her cupcake. She loved hearing her birthday song, too. She's such a ham who likes the attention!
Yellow Party: Part Deux
The people...we were so proud of all of our friends and family. Most everyone came up with some sort of yellow in their closet. Luckily, if they didn't have anything, we supplied a couple of yellow kitchen aprons. Somehow we didn't get a picture of my parents. My dad arrived to the party in his yellow raincoat from his rainsuit! Mom spent some time in one of the yellow aprons (and it came in handy since she jumped in and helped me in the kitchen).
Yellow Party: Part Un
The decor...we got a little carried away, but with a theme, it's hard not to. Who knew there was so much yellow in the world?
The menu: Curried chicken skewers with pineapple, onion and yellow peppers, corn dip, 7 layer dip (with yellow tomatoes on top), yellow squash casserole, cornbread, mac & cheese, and some yellow candies.

Eleven 1st Birthdays!
Let the chaos begin! Elizabeth hanging out with Sutton the monkey
The group photos seem to get harder and harder...a couple of meltdowns, lunch time for some kids and most of them too busy for a photo opt
Grace and Elizabeth must be the models of the bunch - they were sitting still long after the photo shoot ended (maybe those toys had something to do with it).
Trick-or-Treat Kitty?
Fortunately, this little black cat didn't give us any bad luck. On Halloween, we went to our friends' house, Matt and Correy, to see their little pumpkin, Caitlyn and be part of their neighborhood parade. Our parade was rained on, so we cut it short. Happy Birthday to E!
What a wonderful first year we've had with our baby. We can't believe that she's walking, talking and acting so grown up. We're having a lot of fun with her right now- BJ actually commented the other day that we both wish she'd just stay this age. Tonight, she was in the kitchen "helping" me cook - mostly just cruising around the kitchen and opening cabinets and drawers at random. She had her one year check up and she was 19.7lbs and 29 inches (right around average for both).

Sunday Night Dinner: Week 5
Dear Loyal Readers (mom & Aaron): Sorry we missed last week, but we have an excuse - we were on vacation. Please note do not try this at home. Only professionals should attempt such greatness. Also, a large pork rump was harmed in the making of this post.
