Movin' Movin' Movin' Get Those Baby Legs Movin'

The other night BJ decided to show Elizabeth some family photos. When he realized how she was reaching out to the photos, he moved them away from her to see if she would "crawl" towards them. She did! It wasn't pretty, but she was getting from point A to point B. So, we gave her some practice and kept doing it for awhile...she really loved crawling towards her cousins, Jack and Lily. Maybe in a couple of weeks she'll crawl towards the real thing!

Yes, Elizabeth, that's where your daddy came from...weird, they all look normal, huh? I guess a lot of normal makes for abnormal.

Happy Mothers Day!

My first mothers day was great. The day started with some waffles and ended with dinner out with my two favorite people (no, not John Mayer)...BJ and Bizzle Bean! Even though Elizabeth couldn't eat dinner with us, she loved drinking water from our straws.

One tooth, two teeth, red shirt, blue

Elizabeth yelling at her dad in left field at our softball game (and a good shot of the 2 teeth - the one on the right is further along than the one on the left). "Dad, you're supposed to catch that fly ball!" We did end up beating Vandy! Thanks for the photo, Susan!

Solids Part 5: Pears

We are officially into fruits! Big surprise - Elizabeth liked the pears. Luckily for us, pears aren't quite as messy as the orange and green foods (especially the after dinner spit-ups!)

BJ is getting artsy with his photos

Happy Birthday, Old Man!

BJ is again older than me (and the world is right). We really know how to party around here for birthdays now. Cake, presents, party hats - what more could anyone want. Elizabeth seemed to enjoy it.

A little lemon cake

Party time - excellent

Mermaid

Elizabeth liked her swim class much better this week. She did a great job at kicking in the pool and also really likes to chew on the diving ring they give her in class. Her friend, Grace, and mommy's friend, Jennifer are also in our class (they're to the left in the group photo). If any of Elizabeth's cousins want to come visit, the swim complex has waterslides (hint, hint)!

Solids Part 4: Peas

Elizabeth officially already eats better than her dad! He doesn't even like peas. She just loves to eat and gets very excited to eat (lots of panting and leg kicking). And, don't even think about stopping or else she gets upset.

See, I'm a big girl - I can do it myself (maybe she's starting to take after her female cousins who seem to sometimes have a mind of their own!)
