Playtime!

Yep, she still likes to "set up shop" on the stairs sometimes. I guess it's her little play area away from mom and dad.

Who doesn't cook in a tu-tu?

Neh-Nah

Firefighter Elizabeth to the rescue!

Pool Party!

We probably spend 3-4 days a week playing with the water table. Dad had a little relief in work and helped us get the pool set up. Fortunately, even though we live in a townhome, we have plenty of room for it on our deck. We also seem to have some good privacy and rarely see our neighbors outside (we're out there a lot). The top right photo is what happens when you ask Elizabeth to say "cheese," I guess. The bottom left is some serious concentration. The bottom right - yes, that is dirt. My sweet little girl got the idea to put her hands in some pots with soil to get them dirty and then go to the water table to "wash" her hands. She did this quite a few times.

Running On the Mall

These days, it's a much bigger outing for us to get downtown to the National Mall. Our friend, Howell, was celebrating his birthday and invited us over, so we stopped downtown first. Elizabeth ran around the grass, we went into the natural history museum and took a ride on the merry-go-round before the rain sprinkles hit. Elizabeth was such a party animal that night and let us stay at our friends' house until 9:30pm!

It's Gettin' Hot Outside

In early May, we started playing with water outside on the deck. Since then, we're acquired a water table. Elizabeth loves playing with water, except when it gets on her clothing and then we have to strip down.

Ridin' Around in my Automobile

What do you think you're looking at?

This thing isn't turning over. Hum, maybe I should check the engine.

It's out of gas and they've got me pushing! Aren't there child labor laws against this sort of thing?
