Today's Playground Adventure

Since it was so nice outside (although a little hot), we decided to visit the playground in the morning. We were there for nearly two hours and Ellie only stopped for a snack and some water. She loves to run!

Happy Fathers Day...a little late

I was looking on our small camera today and found these cute photos from Fathers' Day and I had to share. We took dad out to dinner at the Mongolian BBQ. Thanks for my cute dress, Millie!

Playground

We found a new local playground that Elizabeth loves. We've gone the last couple of weekends and she has so much fun. There are two play areas, but Ellie prefers the one for bigger kids because as she tells us daily she's a "big girl." She is really good at climbing and moving around all of the equipment.

Give me an E...

L...M...O! What's that spell? ELMO! Elizabeth got some new pajamas and she was proudly showing them off the other night. Usually she doesn't have an evening snack, but for some reason she was hungry that night after bath, so she set up shop with her water and blueberries on the steps with the cooler as her table.

Hocking Hills

Ah, another summer trip. This time we went to Hocking Hills in Ohio to meet up with 3 other couples we know from UD. Thank goodness E is a good car traveler, especially with her DVD player now!

Two of the couples have 2 kids each and, of course, the husbands usually act like kids, especially when they're together. The guys played a lot of flimsee, a new game in the Columbus area that involves throwing a frisbee at cups dangling on sticks in the ground. It was fun seeing our friends and we're hoping to make it an annual event.

We did manage to get a hike in and thank goodness BJ was carrying Elizabeth in a hiking backpack because I felt like his extra 40lbs equaled the extra 20lbs I'm carrying. Elizabeth made a butterfly friend, but she wasn't sure what to think of her.

Playing with Daddy

Mommy has pick up duty from daycare on most days, so it's nice when Daddy comes home from work. Daddy plays with Ellie better than Mommy these days. Mommy's horsie is broken and most of my games involve me sitting and E doing. I'm really good at counting to 3 for her to jump or reading books!

**You might be wondering about the Ellie. We really had no intention of shortening her name (and we do still use Elizabeth mostly), but she started calling herself that. We think it's pretty cute, too!
